The following is a copy of an email sent to CCFC this morning, under advisement from a senior member of CCFC****
Dear Sirs,
As a representative of a number of supporters attending Sixfields during this 2013/2014 season , we feel we need to express our anger at the decision to close the North Stand for the 2014/2015 season....
With CCFC having already lost many of it's paying supporters due to the move to Northampton,we are surprised that the football club are now willing to alienate supporters who actually have continued to support the club financially.
As a group of supporters, the majority of us have supported the Sky Blues from the West Terrace at Highfield Road, then from behind the goal at the Ricoh, until we were continually moved across to accomodate Away support. We all reluctantly agreed to continue our support for CCFC at Sixfields, where we have enjoyed our time behind the goal in the North Stand.
We supporters are in no way responsible for the move to Northampton and our matchday experiences are now affected by increased journey times, abuse from fellow supporters for attending Sixfields, increased expense and a reduction in our days free time.
Many of us believe that with the closure of the North Stand, the club is affecting the enjoyment of our matchday experience and many of us will not be returning to Northampton because of this.
I have already gained the support of 42 supporters attending the North Stand at Sixfields and I will be continuing my efforts to gain more support during the Wolverhampton home match and the away match at Sheffield.
We believe this is a massive "own goal" by the football club, when the public opinion of the running of the club is already very low.
We would urge you to reconsider this closure, before you manage to alienate some of the remaining paying supporters.
Yours Sincerely
Darren Lee Davies (Supporters Consultative Group)
