Coventry City keeper Andy Marshall has said he will carry on playing until such time that he can have a knee operation. The keeper who joined from Millwall in the summer has been in fine form this season for the Sky Blues and was due to have an operation yesterday on his left knee. But with temporary keeper Luke Steele gashing his knee at Luton, Marshall has had to play on.
Keeper To Carry On
Said the keeper to the CT: "I have a small problem with my left knee but I am able to play and I have just got to cut down the training. "I have had it for a few weeks now and I was booked in on Wednesday to have my knee cleaned out because it was reaching a point where it was restricting my movement a bit and I was having injections and the knee drained.
"So it reached a point when I needed something done,so the gaffer managed to bring in Steeley and then he got injured. So at the moment, I don't really know what is happening. "From my point of view,I can play on it so that's not a problem but at some point it does need to be sorted out."
Meanwhile, keeper Rafa Gonzalez has been released by the club. The Spaniard did not make a first team appearance for City and had not played a reserve game since the Birmingham Senior Cup tie at Nuneaton Borough.
