Coventry City defender Richard Keogh is hoping that City can bounce back after being relegated to League One.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Keogh said: "It hurts at the moment and it will for a while as relegation is always tough to take, especially as we looked like we were going to get out of it a few weeks back.
"But it wasn't to be so we have to look forward now. The future of the club is definitely bright as we have some great young players here who will form the basis of the club going forward.
"If anything, the situation at the moment is going to make them a lot stronger and that means they will be able to bounce back.
"Next year is obviously going to be a big year for the club and the manager has already said that he wants to bounce straight back.
"A club this size needs to bounce back and we have to lick our wounds and come back fighting. We need to be ready to go and get this side promoted next year.
"It is a negative at the moment but if we come back from this, it will be a great positive and every cloud has a sliver lining."
