According to reports in the Daily Star and The News Of The World, Coventry City have made the veteran striker Kevin Phillips their top summer target .
The 36 year old striker has been released by Birmingham City and he has attracted interest from the Sky Blues and Leicester City.
Phillips has played a total of 537 league and cup games since turning professional in 1994 and has scored 250 goals. Since he joined Birmingham City in 2008 he has scored 18 times in 58 appearance, so he can still find the net, even if he is not as prolific as he once was.
If Leicester manage to secure promotion to the Premiership via the play offs, they would probably be the favourites to win his signature.
