Disgraced striker Marlon King, who has been continually linked with a move to Coventry City, will be released from prison tomorrow (Thursday).
King was jailed assaulting a woman in December 2008 and has served half of his 18 month sentence.
On a recent poll on this site, 61% of those who voted said no to signing King, while 39% were in favour.
King's agent Tony Finnigan has claimed that there are a number of clubs keen to speak to him with the possibility of signing him.
Finnegan told Sky:, "I can confirm a number of teams have expressed an interest in Marlon They know he can do it at the highest level and for him to be available on a free transfer is an obvious attraction, especially in today's climate.
"That is all I am going to say at this moment in time, Marlon is released on Thursday and will discuss things further with him at that point. I have nothing further to add, except to say that it is also untrue that Marlon will be forced to wear a tag - as has been incorrectly reported in some areas of the press."
King worked under Aidy Boothroyd when both were at Watford and there are many who think that Boothroyd is the one manager who can bring out the best in King and keep the worse of King at bay, which is why there are persistent rumours linking King with a move to Coventry City.
Boothroyd has made no secret that he is looking for another forward to complete his front line before the start of the new season.
