Former Coventry City striker Kevin Kyle is waiting to hear from Kilmarnock about a new deal.
The striker, who joined the Scottish club after being released by City, has scored nine goal this season but is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to hear anything about a new deal.
Kyle told BBC Scotland: "I thought Kilmarnock would have come in and done that. They talked about it, but nothing's actually quite happened.
"As soon as the last game of the season finishes, that's my contract finished with. I'm not going to get wages in May and June, so it's quite unsettling to think like that.
"Nobody really goes and buys somebody straight after the season finishes, it's usually June and July when the transfer market gets busy again, so it's an unsettling thing.
"But I've got to keep trying to put in good performances and hopefully something will happen with Kilmarnock maybe offering me a good deal to stay on or somebody else might take me.
"I'll not be short, but until something is actually signed and done it is a bit unsettling."
