Kevin Kyle has admitted that he wants to stay at Hartlepool United at least until January.

With his bridges seemingly well burnt at Coventry and claims that City had to pay £100k if he played three more games angering Chairman Ray Ranson, Kyle who is City's biggest wage earner, has said that he wants to stay in the North East.

"I said to Danny that I would like to make it until January if it is OK with them," said Kyle to the Sunderland Echo.

"If things go well, I would like it to be three months to get a good few games under my belt and help Hartlepool climb up the table a bit."

"As a footballer, it is not an ideal situation training from Monday to Friday and being out for the Saturday. "Hopefully I will be given an opportunity to do well for the team.

Being in the North East rather than his rented place in Nuneaton, suits the Scot who has a child from a previous relationship based up in that part of England. Said Kyle,: "I have had a couple of bad years in the Midlands and it is good to be back in the North East where I have family and friends.

"My son from a previous relationship is still here, so it saves me running round every two weeks with three hours there and three hours back. "I can travel five minutes to his mum's house to pick him up and I have still got my house here from my days at Sunderland,so it is easy enough to settle back in."
