Coventry City Ladies have announced a new sponsorship deal. Chairman Dave Singleton told those attended at the club's AGM at the Ricoh Arena of plans to introduce three 'Partners' to CCLFC over a three year period.
Ladies Announce Future Plans
He said in a statement: "This is still very much 'work in progress', but we were able to welcome and thank Archer Bassett Ltd who has committed a major investment over the next three years and depending on the success of the relationship is open to renegotiating year three over time.
"This is the third time MD Peter Moore has supported Coventry City Ladies and hope that we can help drive his Company's awareness through his partnership. ABC have the shirt naming rights for the Reserve Team, will sponsor the Archer Bassett Schools Education Program as well as providing clothing for coaches and managers. Peter is especially passionate about developing and retaining talent within the club including both players and coaches.
"As a result we can now provide funding to first team manager Stuart Wilson to complete his A License badge and be one of the few coaches of females in the Midlands with the qualification. This is a huge commitment for Stuart combining his responsible job, football commitments and now a great deal of studying and residential workshops over the next twelve months. We're sure that everyone will agree that Stuart's leadership in the COE and Senior squads has driven the club over the last year.
"In bringing new partners to support the club for the long term, we are able to ensure every level of the club can enjoy extra training and development. Never before have we been able to extend education to schools, the COE will begin training twice a week, and for the first time in ladies football every player in the U16's will undertake a coaching badge.
There is a huge gap in football to provide female coaches and this club is determined to ensure that we pioneer a new generation of coaches. This is dependant on an increased FA grant and our hopes of the next two partners coming on board…fingers crossed, but they are the plans."
