Coventry City could sign Dutchman Quido Lanzaat and field him against Torquay United in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Lanzaat, is out of contract and has been training with City over the last week, He has not played since Novembember when he was at Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia.
Speaking about the defender,City boss Chris Coleman said to the CT:" He is better than we thought. Technically there is no problem but because he has not played for two months we were a little cautious. "We have been putting him through some tests and he has done Ok, so we will see how this week goes.
"We have got a good chance of signing him until the end of the season, maybe getting him on a short term contract and see how he goes as he has got good experience.
"We will see how it goes but hopefully, we will have a bit more to choose from for the Torquay game.
Marcus Hall should play after recovering from a severed septum which he collected during training.
