Coventry City Ladies went down to a second half stoppage time goal at Leeds United this afternoon in a WPL National Division fixture.
At Ossett Town FC, Leeds United, who lost two City at home in the League but won away in the League and two cups, put the pressure on City and it took a great header from Callen Barber from under her own bar to clear one effort.
City went up the other end and from a Hollingsworth cross, Nicole Dale flicked against the crossbar with Helen Dermody blasting the rebound two feet over.
Danni Saulter burst through on goal and tried to place her seventeen yard shot in the corner but the Leeds keeper was equal to it.
Just before the interval, there was a let off for City when a long ball leaves Danielle Sheena on the penalty spot with just Sue Wood to beat. However, the City keeper saved with her feet and snatched the ball at the second attempt.
Saulter nodded wide from a Barber free kick. Leeds went up the other end and Sue Wood saved at full stretch.
In the 91st minute, City had numerous chances to clear but didn't and Leeds scored through Huegett to take a 1-0 win.
