Mark Robins has confirmed that Ivor Lawton will stay at Coventry City for the rest of the season.
The midfielder's contract expired in January and the popular Cov kid, was not offered a new deal by Russell Slade.
Lawton has been on trial at Port Vale but was back playing for City U23's on Monday night at Hull City.
He will now play for City for the rest of the season but City manager Mark Robins has made no promises as to whether Lawton has a future at the club.
