Leeds United are being reported as planning a £1m bid for Coventry City captain Sammy Clingan.
The Yorkshire club have already been told by City that the Sky Blues don't plan on selling the midfielder. However, according to The Mirror, Leeds are prepared to come back with a bid of £1m to land the Northern Ireland international.
If a cash on the table offer is received then it may force City whose financial problems are well documented to further weaken the squad by selling the talented midfielder.
