With a week to go to Legends Day 2018, our grand annual reunion at the Ricoh of CCFC ‘stars of the past’ we are very excited that more than 50 former ‘Bantams’ and ‘Sky Blues’ have said they we will be joining us at the Sky Blues last League Two match of the season against Morecambe next Saturday May 5th. This should be the biggest and best Legends day yet!
As intended in March, an important part of Legends Day 2018 on 5th May will be celebrating the memory of our late, great player Cyrille Regis and a number of Cyrille’s family and friends are expected to be with us as well as quite a number of his former colleagues at Coventry City from 1984-1991 especially some of the ‘Boys of 87’ who made the F.A.Cup Sky Blue on May 16th 1987. Sergio Cunningham the son of Laurie Cunningham, a close friend and colleague of Cyrille’s at W.B.A. will also attend the event.
Though some of those big names like Mo Konjic and John Tudor cannot be with us again next Saturday we have others coming on Saturday who couldn’t make it in March and several who are coming for the first time! There are two ‘Pickerings’ and three ‘Williams’ coming. There still may be some last minute surprise attendees. Watch this space!!
