If London Midland trains, according to their comments in this morning's Coventry Telegraph, don't have enough trains to service the train station at the Ricoh Arena on match days, then perhaps another railway company which could run a suitable service should be brought in.
We can understand why London Midland are hesitant to run a long term matchday service with Coventry City's owners SISU talking about new a stadium somewhere in CV23 and Wasps Rugby Club, being something of an unknown quantity with regards to how long they will be able to afford to continue playing and that they (London Midland) may not have the rolling stock available.
However, we feel that a shuttle service from Coventry Station to the Coventry Arena station and from Nuneaton Station to the Coventry Arena station could be a profitable under-taking for a company wishing to run trains on match and events day and call upon all the relevant parties to discuss this as a matter of urgency as the users of the Ricoh Arena don't deserve to suffer due to a company's failings.
