The currently appointed referee, according to the Football League website for Coventry City’s League One game against Bradford City is Rob Lewis from Shrewsbury.
Mr Lewis started his refereeing career in the Shrewsbury and Shropshire leagues and came through the ranks as an assistant referee where he made it onto the FIFA List and ran the line for a number of high profile international matches, with one of the highlights running the line at the Bernabeu Stadium for a Champions League match when David Beckham was playing for Real Madrid.
His last City game was the 1-0 win over Port Vale on December 26th 2015 and other games he has been in charge of are: the 2-2 draw with Port Vale at Sixfields in March 2014, the 2-0 defeat at Crawley Town on April 13th 2013. He also was in charge of a City Reserves game against Fulham in 2005 which finished 1-1.
