LINCOLN CITY LADIES RESERVES 0-5 COVENTRY CITY LADIES RESERVES

City midfielder Linda Scott bagged a brace as Coventry City Ladies went nap at Lincoln City. Scott struck twice in the first half with a third added by Mel Byrne. Despite having Jade Newbold rushed to hospital, City continued to press and goals from Lauren Lockwood and Natalie Wilcox gave Mark Howard's side their second consecutive Reserve League victory.

City win on penalties


Sky Blues U16's progressed to the League Cup Semi-Final with a penalties victory at Solihull. Dave Charnley's side spent most of the first period under pressure but took the lead when a looping cross from Sam Pattinson at the third attempt found the head of Stacey Rowley who out jumped the keeper to find the back of the net. The home side drew level on the stroke of half-time but minutes into the second period, the Sky Blues were back in front thanks to a neat finish from Sam Pattinson. Despite some valiant saves from keeper Katey Rowell,City were unable to keep out Solihull who equalised to send the game to penalties. Kat Watkin and Jessie Wilson scored for City whilst Rowell save three spot kicks from Solihull to take the contest to sudden death. Rowell saved two more penalties before Lauren Middleton stepped up to score City's winner.

BELGRAVE BULLETS 0-5 COVENTRY CITY U14 SKY BLUES
Sky Blues U14's progressed to the next round of the Shield with a well deserved victory at Belgrave Bullets. City took the game to the Leicestershire based side and were ahead after five minutes thanks to a Jess Lea strike. Sarah Gould increased the advantage two minutes later before Lea notched her second in the 25th minute. A fourth came twenty minutes into the second half when a twenty yard Beckhamesque strike from Sarah Gould flew into the net. City wrapped up a fine performance five minutes from time,when Kayleigh Steele kept her cool to beat the advancing home keeper.
