Loanee Wilo Flood believes that his loan spell at the Arena is helping his career. Flood joined City for a initial month spell which runs out after City's trip to Brighton, however, there is an option whereby Flood could stay until December 31st.

Speaking to the Oldham Evening Chronicle, the 21 year old said: “I thought I might be frustrated if I was not playing at the start of the season. “That is why I went to see Stuart Pearce to ask if I could go out on loan for a few months. “Tim Flowers told me I could do a lot worse than to come here and I also spoke to Ben Thatcher about manager Micky Adams. “He told me great things about the manager, saying he would look after me if I worked hard, so I thought it would be a good move for me.

The Liverpool supporting Irish U21 international added: “I need to get games under my belt so I can prove I can play at this level. And when I go back to City, I should be stronger, fresher and more alert.”
