The City boss, who attended a strategy meeting yesterday with Chairman Ray Ranson and his backroom staff, is hoping to get Kevin Kyle, Gary Borrowdale, Chris Birchall and possibly Michael Mifsud, who is out of contract in June off the wage bill and to bring in a couple of players in the January transfer window.
"We are no different to any other club,"said Chris Coleman to the CT. "We are always on the look-out. We could lose a few and we need to bring in a few and I think there will be new faces in January. I am anticipating one or two new arrivals but that is in the back of my mind.
"The chairman was here on Friday with our Chief Scout Andy Thorn and we all have had a meeting to discuss what we are going to do in the next transfer window because you have to be pro-active.
"We are not expecting to go and spend two or three million quid - that's not going to happen. We may get some loan deals and may spend a little bit of money if it is right but it is not going to be a big spend-fest in this window - although it could be in the summer."
