After Coventry City manager, Chris Coleman said he would be trying to bring in two strikers on loan until the end of the season, speculation has been rife as to who these players might be. One was said to be a big experienced target man and the other, a younger player.
James Vaughan has been told he can leave Everton as he does not figure in David Moyes' long term plans.
The Daily Mirror has reported that Everton are prepared to loan 21 year old striker James Vaughan out until the end of the season. Two clubs, Coventry City and Derby County, are thought to be interested in taking the Wolverhampton born player.
Vaughan spent three month last year on loan at pride Park, but was recalled to Everton when he suffered a minor cartilage tear. Derby are known to be keen on taking him back again if he can prove his fitness.
Coventry City might be put off by Everton insisting that any club taking Vaughan on loan will have to pay a substantial rental fee, said to be a six figure sum in addition to paying the strikers full wages.
Vaughan is an England under 21 international with 3 caps. He also has 3 caps at under 19 and 6 caps at under 17 level.
Vaughan has scored just 7 goals in 41 appearances for Everton, but has scored 5 goals in his 12 game junior international career.
