Nuneaton Borough made it through to the draw for the FA Cup Third Round coming back to earn a 2-2 draw with Histon Town at Manor Park. Collins put Boro ahead in the 35th minute before Barker equalised for the Cambridgeshire side. Knight-Percival scored a second for Histon in the 44th minute but a Quaily penalty seven minutes into the second half produced a replay.

Rugby Town won 3-2 at Cheshunt but Bedworth's game at Clevedon was postponed. In the Midland Alliance, Stratford drew 1-1 at Coalville,Leamington drew 0-0 at Loughborough with Racing Club Warwick match with Chasetown postponed.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Sphinx won 7-4 at Cadbury Athletic, Alveston lost 2-1 at home to Castle Vale with matches involving Nuneaton Griff and Massey Ferguson all called off.

Coventry Copsewood's League Cup tie with Barnt Green Spartak was a victim of the rain in Coventry but Atherstone Town played and beat Continenal Star 3-1.

Games involving Kenilworth Town,Leamington Hibernian,Stockingford and Coventry Sphinx Reserves were all postponed.
