Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that losing Leon Clarke is a massive blow.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner about Clarke who will have an operation on his right ankle on Monday and will miss the rest of the season, City boss Steven Pressley said: “It’s a massive blow to lose Leon who will obviously be out for the rest of the season.
“But the one bit of good news coming out of that is that he’ll hopefully available for the start of next season.
“In the early part of the season the goals from David McGoldrick were crucial but he moved on and the club found the ideal replacement in Leon whose performances and goals have been pivotal to the success of the team.
"But it gives others the opportunity and we need to find goals not just from one individual, but from all over the team.
“So we need a greater contribution and that’s something we’ll work towards.”
