Coventry City Council leader Ann Lucas has said that the council had got the best deal for the city by selling their shares in the Ricoh Arena management company ACL to London based Wasps Rugby Club.
Lucas said at this morning's press conference to the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert: “A unanimous decision means that every part of the city has been represented.
“People had different views to start with but after hours of meetings and the chance to ask questions of officers, and Wasps owner Derek Richardson, we felt this was the best deal for taxpayers, football fans, rugby supporters and Coventry as a whole."
