“Because I am part of it I have got to give myself some time to reflect otherwise you can start going a wee bit do-lally,” said McAllister.
“From all the managers I have known over the years it is the ones that walk away rather than lose it at the end of games who are the ones that have done better and gained from walking away, counting to ten and leaving it a day.
“I think it is the easy way to go to start throwing things around the dressing room and shouting and balling and picking on certain individuals. That’s not what I am here to do.
"I am here to make players and the team better and take the club forward. The intention is to let them stew a while because if losing at home after being in front doesn’t hurt then they are in the wrong job.”
“Obviously I am very disappointed after being 2-1 up at home and to go on to lose the game is not very good, so I will take the video away and have a look at it.
“I am even more concerned that the goalkeeper has made two or three good saves as well but on the break when we were pressing to get back into the game we left ourselves a wee bit exposed, so it is very disappointing and there are no positives to take from the game at all.”
