According to today's Daily Mail, Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has made opened talks with Keiren Westwood about a move to the Stadium Of Light.
Westwood is out of contract at Coventry City on July 1st and with Craig Gordon expected to be out for the first three months of next season, Bruce and his assistant and former City manager Eric Black who has watched the City keeper on a couple of occasions at the Ricoh Arena, have moved to try and persuade the currently injured Republic Of Ireland international to move to Wearside.
The paper also claims that Everton and Aston Villa are interested in the 26 year old keeper who won the Coventry City Irish and South Wales Supporters Club Player Of The Year Awards for a third consecutive season.
