Coventry City's James Maddison has said that he has to deal with the rough treatment dished out to him by opponents who are clearly not as talented as the 19 year old Cov Kid.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph at today's press conference, Maddison said: “I have come in for some rough treatment in recent weeks but that’s all part of the game and I just have to deal with that.
“It’s part of League One football, it’s just a case of taking on the chin and getting the ball again. As long as I am giving defenders problems it’s down to the referee to punish them.”
“I have often been called a diver and cheat but I just let the referee take care of any players who accuse me of that.”
