Gary Madine may still have a future at Carlisle United.
Coventry City and the League One club have been in talks about a move to the Ricoh Arena. However, these talks appear to have hit a stumbling block over the price.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Coventry born Carlisle boss Greg Abbott said: "We need to get him back and see what his attitude is like.
"(We need to) see how he has weathered since he has been away at Coventry."
