Covsupport News Service are pleased to back calls for either the first home game of the new year or the final home game of the year to be preceded by a minute's applause to remember all those Coventry City supporters, players, mangers, club employees who have sadly passed away throughout the year.
Natalie Coulson, in her excellent column in the Coventry Telegraph this morning, has following the excellent minutes applause for City receptionist Michelle Ridley on New Years Day, called for an annual minutes applause at a game to remember, reflect and reminisce on those Sky Blues sadly no longer with us and we support her calls.
It's not a new idea, Everton already hold a minute's applause to remember those who passed away during the year, which was heavily featured by the media during their home game against Chelsea, but it is an idea that Coventry City FC should introduce.
