Defender Steve Staunton has been told to make his mind up about whether he wants to stay at Coventry City.
The Republic of Ireland international who has the unwanted honour of the last player to be cautioned in a professional game at Highfield Road also has an offer from Walsall which includes a player/coach role.
"I've spoken to Stan and he has a decision to make," said Micky Adams, speaking to the CET. "I've reiterated to him how important he is to my squad and hopefully he will sign.
"Everyone would like a little more money but Stan is 36 and he has to decide whether he goes and takes up a coaching role or plays for another year without all the hassle. "
