Coventry City have terminated the contract of striker Mathieu Manset by mutual consent.
Manset joined City for pre-season training and those who saw him, were amazed that he was given a contract.
However, he went on to make nine appearances scoring once, before Steven Pressley started to see that the Frenchman was not the replacement for Leon Clarke and Callum Wilson and tried unsuccessfully to loan the former Carlisle and Reading striker out, before allowing him to return to his native France for the birth of his daughter.
As of this afternoon, his contract has been cancelled and Manset who leaves with the club's best wishes is free to ply his trade elsewhere.
