Former Coventry City midfielder Yazid Mansouri played for Algeria tonight in an African Nations Cup Quarter-Final victory against Ivory Coast.
Mansouri captained the side against the Ivory Coast who fielded Chelsea's Didier Drogba and saw his side go a goal down in less than four minutes when Kalou netted.
The midfielder, whose contract at Highfield Road was terminated in 2003, played in Matmour in the 39th minute and the Borussia Moenchengladbach striker hit a tremendous shot from the edge of the area to level the game.
In the 89th minute, Keita smashed the ball from 26 metres into the net to snatch a win for Ivory Coast but two minutes later, Rangers' Majid Bougherra headed Algeria level once more and send the game into extra time.
Two minutes into extra time, Algeria went 3-2 up when Bouazza headed in unmarked at the far post.
Ivory Coast had a goal ruled out for offside in stoppage time in the second period but Algeria held on to win and face either Egypt or Cameroon on Thursday.
