Coventry City have announced that they will not be offering a new deal to Marcus Hall.
The former Stoke Park pupil, rose through the ranks of his home town club and went on to make 156 appearances. He played for Nottingham Forest, Southampton and Stoke City before rejoining the Sky Blues.
Hall had been on a annual contract at the Ricoh Arena for the last couple of seasons and celebrated his testimonial with a friendly against Everton back in August.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, City boss Chris Coleman said: "Marcus has given great service to Coventry City and is a terrific pro. I think it will be good for him to make a change. "It was a tough decision and we spoke yesterday. It wasn't the news I wanted to give him but he has got a couple of years playing left in him. "We wish him all the best in his future career."
