Rumours abound tonight that Mark Venus is leaving Coventry City and the Otium Entertainment Group who run the club.
Venus was brought into the club by Tony Mowbray and helped bring him players to the club before he joined the board of the Otium Entertainment Group.
With news that Venus, his wife and son were shareholders in a Colchester based housing company and Venus had spoken to Rugby Council about selling Ryton for housing, the former Leicester player replaced Tony Mowbray as manager.
It was a spell that went sour quickly, seeing Venus abused by the City support on an unpresedented level and just before Christmas he was replaced by Russell Slade.
Venus returned to his day job and according to Tim Fisher was tasked with finding City's academy a new home and representing City at safety meetings with the Ricoh Arena owners.
Tim Fisher said at the Sky Blue Trust meeting on Monday night that Mark Venus, was considering his career options, especially as Mark Robins is to bring in someone to deal with the recuitment of players, which Mr Fisher admitted that the club had got so badly wrong..
