Coventry hailing referee Sian Massey-Ellis has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours list.
The 31 year old, who is now a mother, has been an assistant referee in the Premier League and the Football League, having been appointed to the Select Group Of Match Officials in 2011.
Sian was appointed to the FIFA list of women assistant referees in 2010 and has been appointed to officiate at matches in the UEFA Women's Champions League and FIFA Women's World Cup qualification rounds.
She has been given the honour for services to football.
