Former Cardinal Wiseman pupil and Coventry City season ticket holder Luke McCormick, today appeared at Fenton Magistrates Court in Stoke on Trent.
The Plymouth keeper McCormick spoke only to confirm his date of birth and address in Plymouth and cried through out the hearing as he was charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and charges of drunk driving and driving with no insurance.
Amanda Peak, whose sons Aaron and Ben, died in the crash which also sees their father seriously ill in hospital. was in court clutching a photo of her late sons and a teddy bear.
McCormick was released on conditional bail. However, there were six conditions attached. These include staying out of Manchester or Bolton. not driving or being front seat passenger.
He will reappear in court in a weeks time.
