City Chairman Mike McGinnity has told Tim Sherwood to make a decision about whether he wants to remain a Coventry City player. McGinnity stated that although he would be happy for the former England midfielder who was struggled to over come the effects of a broken leg, he will not let him see out the rest of his contract being permanently injured.
He told the CET: "What I want to know is whether Tim Sherwood is going to play again. "He is under a specialist in London but I would like him to see a specialist up here and see what the situation is because if he isn't going to be playing any more then we need to come to some sort of arrangement.
"He is one of the better paid players at the club and his wages could be used by the manager to strengthen the squad with players who can come in and play.
"I don't think I will be criticised for saying that and I am sure a lot of the fans are thinking exactly the same thing. "Don't get me wrong - I hope he comes back and plays for us. But if he is not then I am not prepared to let him sit there and see out the rest of his contract."
