Coventry City loanee David McGoldrick has stressed that the Sky Blues needed to be prepared for a tough Christmas and New Year period.
The Sky Blues face Preston North End at home on Saturday before making their first ever appearance for a league game at Stevenage and MK Dons and then a home game against Shrewsbury Town on January 1st.
Speaking to City club journalist Kieran Crowley, McGoldrick said: “We have got games coming up thick and fast, and we need to be ready for that. It is always a crucial time in the season and if a side has a good Christmas, it can define a season.
“We have to make sure we keep ourselves fit and fresh. We have to be able to go into every game with that hunger for all three points and we have got a few journeys over Christmas as well so it will be difficult."
