Coventry City open their FA Cup campaign on Saturday when they entertain Bedforshire side Arlesey at The Ricoh Arena but they will be without leading goal scorer David McGoldrick as his parent club Nottingham Forest do not want him cup tied.
Coventry City manager Mark Robins will also have to check with the parent clubs of the other players on loan at the club to see if they will be allowed to play.
Callum Ball, Conor Henderson Jamie Reckord, James Bailey and Reece Brown have all been regulars in Robins league game squads, but if their parent clubs do not want them cup tied then Robins will have a selection headache to solve.
Central defender Kevin Malaga is heavily tipped to be moving to Nuneaton on a months loan where he will be allowed to play in their cup tie against Luton Town. If the move does go through, he will be unavailable to Robins in future FA Cup games tis season.
