Reading have signed Coventry City striker Marc McNulty.
The Royals came up with the figure City were looking for, which is understood to be in the region of £1.5m, for the the 25 year old Scot, who scored 28 goals last season.
McNulty, whose agent turned down City's improved offer, spent the day agreeing terms and has signed a four year deal.
Manager Paul Clement, feels that McNulty can make the step up from League Two football to Championship football and said to the Reading club website: “I am delighted Marc has joined us from Coventry City where he was instrumental in the club’s successful promotion to League One last May.
“He scored a lot of goals and also provided a good number of assists last season and, having followed his journey as a player - including what he achieved with Coventry last season - I have no doubt he will make the step up and prove a very good acquisition for us.”
