Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has denied any argument or falling between himself and James McPake.
Yesterday, comments from Thorn about McPake wanting to go back to Scotland appeared in the CT and elsewhere before McPake tweeted that he had not handed in a transfer request.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Thorn said: He felt he wanted to play football and wanted to go back to Scotland, and that's fine. He didn't hand a transfer request in just came and told me he would like to go back.
"He still gives 110% for the club and I respect that. But as I said to him, if I can get somebody in then I will allow him to go out. Whether that is a loan or permanent I don't know.
"There are no arguments between me and James. I'd sooner have him done that rather than not ask me and as I said, I have to free some money up as well.
"If he stays, then he will continue to give everything but if he doesn't, then I could use some of that money."
