The news comes after a strike threat by the Livingston players who have not been paid and it seems that the cash strapped Italian owners have relented and accepted City's offer for McPake, believed to be around £150k which will then be used to pay the players on Monday as well as some creditors.
Subject to international clearance, McPake will sign a three and a half year deal.
