James McPake, who had been on loan at Hibs from Coventry City has signed a two year deal with the Scottish Premier League side.
McPake had been keen to return to Scotland and he leaves Coventry with their blessing. No fee is involved.
McPake said, "It's an honour to play for Hibs again. From day one, I felt at home at the club and I developed a special relationship with the supporters.
"I'm excited to be part of what will be a new-look Hibernian team and I'm looking forward to playing my part in bringing success back to this football club."
