Former Coventry City defender James McPake has been released by Hibernian following their relegation to the Scottish Championship.
McPake told Sky Sports News: The manager has told me I won't be part of his plans.
"I'm gutted as I loved playing for this club. I've had some good times but also some very, very bad times.
"I'm just disappointed I never got the chance to help the club stay in the division. I've been fit for 10 weeks and I could have contributed.
"The blame lies with the players as we got the club relegated but you can't entirely just look at the players. "
