McSheff New Deal Signed

Gary McSheffrey finally signed a new three year deal yesterday, having returned from holiday. The locally born striker who hails from a City supporting family told Sky Blue World: "I always wanted to stay.
"There were just a couple of things to iron out and I'm delighted to have got things sorted. "Micky Adams signing his new deal was important to me. When I found out that he hadn't I must admit that it put a few doubts in my mind about where I should be.
"But more than anything else it was the way the fans got behind me and the other players towards the end of the season. I had a couple of other offers from other clubs but our fans have been absolutley brilliant and the way they supported us, I know I've made the right choice."
