As revealed on this site last night,Gary McSheffrey has joined Luton Town on a one-month loan.

McSheffrey enjoyed a good spell for The Hatters last season score nine goals in 19 outings before returning to Highfield Road where he enjoy another successful spell.

Despite a good performance in pre-season, he has only started three times this season and was replaced in all three matches against Sunderland,Brighton and Torquay. He has made two substitute appearances but has not featured since in the last three matches. However,he has scored in every one of his three reserve outings this season.

With Stern John arriving, the popular Coventry kid was pushed further down the pecking order and with Town boss Mike Newall a big fan of McSheffrey,a loan move was inevitable.
