Coventry City midfielder Gary McSheffrey has praised the City fans for their support for the team in the 2-0 win over Portsmouth.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, McSheffrey said: : "It was a big occasion for us today and we did really well for the fans. They were brilliant once again and that noise when we score a goal is great.
"It creates a real atmosphere and it gives us a real sense of confidence, a confidence which has really shown with our home form since Christmas.
"The fans realised the importance of today and we got a great turnout. So, to win on big occasions like that can make a real difference.
"We were indifferent in the first half but I am really happy that we have been able to put in a performance for everyone who turned up today."
