Coventry City have signed David Meyler on loan.
The midfielder has played for his home town club Cork City, Sunderland and Hull City, for whom he made around 150 appearances before joining the Royals.
Meyler is 29 and one of a number of players along side former Coventry City striker Marc McNulty, who have been cast aside by Reading's latest manager.
Meyler, who has 24 caps for the Republic Of Ireland, joins City on loan for the rest of the season and speakng about him, Mark Robins told the clu website: “We are delighted to add a player of David’s pedigree to the squad until the end of the season.
“He’s a tireless, hardworking player and has great experience of playing at the highest levels of English football – he will be a real presence for us on and off the pitch.”
