Sligo Rovers have announced that their new manager is the former Coventry City player and manager Micky Adams.
Adams, who has family connections in the region, has been out of work since resigning as manager of Tranmere Rovers back in April.
Adams will have Alan Rogers as his assistant and coach and takes up his new position immediately and will be in charge for Sligo's home game against Cork City on Saturday as part of an appointment which will be reviewed at the end of the Airtricity League season.
