Former Coventry City player and manager Micky Adams is a late entrant for the vacant manager's job at Port Vale.
Interviews start on Monday for the job for which John Ward and Martin Ling have also applied for.
Adams, who saw the Sky Blues move from Highfield Road to the Ricoh Arena, was at Brighton until February when he was sacked with the team seemingly heading into League Two.
As a player at City from 1983-1987, he made 85 league starts with 5 substitute appearances scoring nine league goals.
