Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that finishing in mid-table will be a step forward for the Sky Blues.
Whilst, looking for a mid-table finish may not be what some of the Sky Blue Army want to hear, it is a realistic approach based on current home form.
"We have not won at home since Southampton and if you are not winning at home then it is hard," said the City boss to the CT.
"We had a good game against Derby and drew, we lost to Burnley and Palace in a bad, bad, fashion and we lost on Saturday to Plymouth.
"We knew it would be hard because we knew the way they were going to play against us and in the second half we lacked a bit of invention to break them down and got done with a sucker punch.
"It almost feels like that is always the case with Coventry. We promise so much and then we always fall down and we have to break away from that mentality.
"That's why I said this season that we have to think of mid- table as it is a step forward from fourth from bottom. Some poeple won't like me saying that but we have got to get a team in place and get to mid-table.
"So from fourth from bottom I am not going to say that we are going to get in the play-offs because a progression is half way and that is what we have to aim for.
"We are still aiming for that at Christmas and we are only two points off as bad as a run that we have had."
