One time Coventry City favourite who fell spectacularly out of favour Michael Mifsud is still looking for a new club.
The diminutive Maltese striker has been without a club since his contract with Coventry City expired in 2009, although he played 15 games on loan at Barnsley.
In July 2008 Coventry accepted an undisclosed offer for Mifsud from Bristol City, but Bristol City manager Gary Johnson was unconvinced about Mifsud's attitude and commitment and pulled out of the deal.
Mifsud claimed to have turned down several offers from club's all over Europe before signing a short term contract with Maltese club Valletta, where he stayed for three months.
The Malta national team manager John Buttigieg told The Times of Malta that his team captain s trying hard to find a new club.
He said, "I always get asked this question and my answer is always the same. It's not the ideal situation but I can assure you that he (Mifsud) is not happy about it. He's trying hard to find a club."
